There are three Amazon Tribes, but looks like the contest will have four not three champions.
The three Amazon tribes, coming together as one, are:
- Amazons of Themyscira (Diana’s tribe)
- Amazons of Bana-Mighdall (Nubia’s tribe)
- Amazons of Esquecida (Yara Flor’s tribe)
Each tribe will choose a champion to compete to become the Amazon’s one true champion and presumably help determine who killed former Queen Hippolyta.
Naturally, the Amazons of Esquecida chose Yara Flor, the current Wonder Girl and the Future State Wonder Woman, as their champion.
The Amazons of Themyscira choose Philippus as their champion while the Amazons of Bana-Mighdall curiously chose Donna Troy as their champion despite her entering this event with Yara Flor’s tribe alongside Cassie Sandsmark.
However, a fourth champion enters the contest as Diana puts herself forward as someone who represents all Amazons and not one tribe.
