Impact Wrestling’s Multiverse Of Matches 2022 Sees Results Sees No Major Title Changes and A Few Surprise Returns!

X-Division Champion Trey Miguel vs Jordynne Grace vs Chris Bey vs Blake Christian vs Vincent vs Rich Swann – Ultimate X Match for the X-Division Championship

Multiverse of Matches kicks off with the return of the high-risk, high-wire spectacle, Ultimate X! The X-Division Title hangs high above the ring and whoever retrieves it will be the champion! Bey gets two-for-one as he takes out both Miguel and Swann with a swift kick. Christian climbs across the cables but Miguel pulls him down and hits a dive to the floor. Vincent shuts down Miguel’s momentum with a Flatliner. Swann connects with a Handspring Cutter to Vincent before leaping up to the cables. Swann loses his grip and gets taken out with The Art of Finesse from Bey. Christian spikes Bey with a Canadian Destroyer before launching himself off the steel truss, colliding with everyone on the outside. Miguel and Grace race towards the title. Vincent pulls Grace down, allowing Miguel to retrieve the title!

In a sit-down interview with FITE, The Good Brothers preview their dream match main event against The Briscoes tonight.

Digital Media Champion & NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Matt Cardona & Chelsea Green vs Nick Aldis & Mickie James

Revenge is in the air as Mickie James and Nick Aldis battle Matt Cardona and Chelsea Green to determine the superior power couple! James charges at Green to jumpstart the match and it’s on. Cardona crashes and burns with a missile dropkick off the top. The referee’s back is turned and Cardona takes advantage as he chokes James. Cardona and Green begin to wear James down as they cut off the ring and prevent her from making the tag. Moments later, James counters Radio Silence into a Flapjack to create separation, allowing her to make the tag. Aldis quickens the pace as he spikes Cardona with a Piledriver, followed by a top rope elbow drop. Green inadvertently slaps her husband. Aldis and James lock in double Cloverleaf submissions, forcing both of their opponents to tap!

Gia Miller interviews ROH Women’s World Champion & AAA Reina de Reinas Champion Deonna Purrazzo ahead of the Champ Champ Challenge later on. Miller brings up the fact that Mercedes Martinez became the interim ROH Women’s World Champion earlier tonight but Purrazzo denies any claims of it diminishing her legitimacy as the real champion.

Mike Bailey vs Alex Shelley

“Speedball” Mike Bailey goes one-on-one with Alex Shelley in what promises to be fast-paced thriller! Bailey dives over the top rope, colliding with Shelley on the floor and landing on his feet in the process. Shelley takes Bailey off his feet with a slingshot crossbody to the outside. Shelley drives his knee into the chest of Bailey, then plants him into the mat with a Fisherman’s DDT. Bailey hits a twisting Shooting Star to build momentum. Shelley regains control with a series of chops, followed by a belly-to-back suplex. Bailey fights off another belly-to-back suplex attempt, but gets spiked into the apron instead. Shelley dives through the ropes but Bailey beats him to the floor with a springboard Moonsault. Shelley hits Sliced Bread in the middle of the ring but it’s not enough. Bailey rolls up Shelley to win by pinfall!

Gia Miller catches up with Knockouts World Tag Team Champions The Influence ahead of their title defense in a Fatal Four Way match up next. Miller suggests that something might be up as both Kaleb With a K and The IInspiration are not here tonight.

Knockouts World Tag Team Champions The Influence (Madison Rayne & Tenille Dashwood) vs Knockouts World Champion Tasha Steelz & Savannah Evans vs Decay (Rosemary & Havok) vs Gisele Shaw & Lady Frost – Knockouts World Tag Team Championships

The Influence put their Knockouts World Tag Team Titles on the line against not one, not two, but three different teams! Evans makes Rosemary pay for biting her by dropping the “Demon Assassin” throat first on the top rope. Shaw and Frost are working well together as they deliver double team offense to Steelz. Havok hits a running leg drop on Frost as Rosemary comes in with the follow-up spear. Dashwood tags herself in to steal the pin but Frost kicks out at two. Dashwood hits a draping neckbreaker on Frost to remain in control. The match begins to break down as everyone fires with a flurry of offense. Decay, Rosemary and Savannah Evans brawl to the back. In the ring, The Influence plant Shaw into the mat to retain the Knockouts World Tag Team Titles!

Gia Miller interviews the leader of Honor No More, Eddie Edwards, before he faces off against NJPW’s Tomohiro Ishii tonight. Edwards reveals the reason why he’s representing Pro Wrestling NOAH and not IMPACT Wrestling tonight – because IMPACT turned their back on him.

Eddie Edwards collides with Tomohiro Ishii in a battle of Pro Wrestling NOAH vs New Japan Pro-Wrestling! Edwards dives through the ropes, sending Ishii crashing into the steel guardrail. Both men exchange shots before Edwards hits a DDT head-first into the hardest part of the ring. Edwards is in the driver’s seat after chopping Ishii to his knees. Ishii hits a vertical suplex to create an opening as he begins to regain his composure. Ishii pummels him with a series of strikes in the corner, followed by a belly-to-back suplex for two. Edwards comes back with his signature Blue Thunder Bomb but it’s not enough to keep Ishii down. It’s a stalemate after running clotheslines take out both competitors. Edwards connects with a thunderous Tiger Driver for a very close near fall. Ishii blocks the Boston Knee Party, then hits a running knee of his own. Ishii connects with a vicious Brainbuster to score the victory!

IMPACT World Champion Moose & PCO vs Josh Alexander & JONAH

Josh Alexander gets his hands on Moose before their IMPACT World Title clash at Rebellion in this epic tag team showdown! As Alexander and JONAH try to decide who’s going to start the match, PCO attacks them from behind to gain the early advantage. Moose hits JONAH with repeated running shoulder tackles but can’t take the big man off his feet. JONAH launches Moose halfway across the ring before Alexander tags himself in. The fight is on between Moose and Alexander as an enraged “Walking Weapon” unleashes his pent-up rage. Alexander hits a bridging German suplex on PCO for two. PCO soars with the PCO-Sault but Alexander avoids the incoming assault. PCO dives through the ropes, taking out both of his opponents on the floor. PCO destroys Alexander with the De-Animator on the apron. Moose and Alexander square off once again as they exchange strikes in the middle of the ring. Alexander locks in the Ankle Lock but Moose breaks free and retreats. JONAH spears PCO, followed by the C4 Spike from Alexander to win!

ROH Women’s World Champion & AAA Reina de Reinas Champion Deonna Purrazzo vs Faby Apache – AAA Reina de Reinas Championship

AAA legend Faby Apache answers the Champ Champ Challenge and chooses to challenge for the Reina de Reinas Championship! Purrazzo begins to target the Apache’s arm in the early going. Apache hits a running dropkick, then rolls Purrazzo up for two. Apache locks in a modified Indian death lock but Purrazzo breaks free. Purrazzo hits a running dropkick, followed by a standing Moonsault. Apache plants Purrazzo face-first into the canvas for a very close near fall. Purrazzo locks in the Fujiwara Armbar, forcing Apache to tap out to retain the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship!

After the match, Purrazzo gets on the mic and says it doesn’t matter that Mercedes Martinez became the interim ROH Women’s World Champion earlier tonight at Supercard of Honor and refers to herself as the real champion. In a shocking turn of events, the longest reigning Knockouts World Champion of all time, Taya Valkyrie, confronts Purrazzo in the ring and challenges for the AAA Reina de Reinas Title at Rebellion!

Jay White vs Chris Sabin

The rivalry between the Bullet Club and the Motor City Machine Guns continues as Jay White takes on Chris Sabin! White retreats to the outside but Sabin is in pursuit as he connects with a dive. Sabin delivers his signature running kick from the apron. Sabin soars with a top rope crossbody for two. White chops his opponent, sending Sabin toppling from the top rope to the floor. White remains in control with a pair of belly-to-back suplexes on the hardest part of the ring. Sabin hits a jumping kick to the head to create some much-needed separation. Sabin begins to build momentum with a missile dropkick from the top. Sabin keeps the ball rolling as he hits a tornado DDT. White counters the Cradle Shock into a quick Saito suplex. Sabin’s chest is battered following countless chops as White hits a twisting vertical suplex. White connects with the Uranagi. Sabin counters the Blade Runner into a rollup to score the pinfall, marking White’s first pinfall loss in IMPACT Wrestling!

The Good Brothers (Doc Gallows & Karl Anderson) vs The Briscoes (Jay & Mark Briscoe)

With one win a piece, The Good Brothers and The Briscoes settle their epic rivalry in a rubber match to close tonight’s Multiverse of Matches! Gallows and Anderson are in total control as they target the bandaged forehead of Jay. Moments later, Jay fights out of the corner with a series of back elbows, allowing him to make the tag to Mark. The pace quickens as Mark goes on the attack. Mark knocks Gallows off the apron before planting Anderson with a suplex. The Briscoes hit a double team neckbreaker powerbomb on Anderson for two. Anderson comes back with a thunderous Spinebuster to Jay. Everyone is down following a wild flurry of offense. Jay White pushes Mark off the top rope while the referee is distracted by Chris Bey. The Good Brothers capitalize with the Magic Killer to win!
