Paul Schrader has been responsible for so many memorable films since the mid ’70s. He started as a screenwriter with Taxi Driver and Rolling Thunder. He shifted into the director’s chair with Hardcore, American Gigolo, Cat People, Auto Focus and Patty Hearst among his films. Schrader isn’t done making movies his way. He wrote and directed The Master Gardner which is coming out on Blu-ray and DVD in September. The film is about the solitary gardener on an estate who reluctantly has to train someone. Synopsis
