Al Yankovic became one of my favorite musical acts when I first heard him on the Dr. Demento show. He twisted The Kinks’ “Lola” into “Yoda” and had me hooked. There was something extra special to his spoof of popular songs that set him beyond the local radio jocks who tried to the same schtick. Al has been at the top of his game for over five decades. What’s the secret to his career magic? It’s hard to say, but getting Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) to play you in the biopic is wizardly great.
