Austin Aries vs. Delirious, with Aries’ #6 ranking in the Pick 6 Series standings, has been signed for this Saturday’s show in New York City. This match has been signed in light of the incident shown on this week’s ROH on HDNet episode, where Austin Aries injured Delirious’ throat. Click here to view the footage. Less than 40 general admission tickets remain for NYC, and tickets.com has limited reserved seating still available.
Aries and Delirious will square off the previous night in Manassas, VA as well, as Aries will team up with Rhett Titus to take on Delirious and Tyler Black.
Speaking of Austin Aries, the Newswire has followed up on last week’s (kayfabe) story that Aries has applied for his ROH Manager’s License. Apparently, that request is under review by senior ROH and HDNet management.
Fan voting on the stipulation for Saturday’s grudge match between Kevin Steen and Colt Cabana ends in Thursday. Fans may vote by e-mailing ROHFansVoice@gmail.com. They may also do so through ROH’s “social portals” (Facebook, Twitter).
Eddie Edwards has issued an “Eddie Edwards Ten Minute Hunt” open challenge for Manassas. Should the wrestler accepting the challenge last ten minutes against Edwards, he will receive a Television Title match on the May 21-22 weekend in Philadelphia. Edwards also takes on Christopher Daniels on Saturday in NYC.
ROH is also teasing a face-to-face between Daniels and Davey Richards for May 21-22. It is not clear whether this will be a match or other type of confrontation.
ROH is offering two special promotions for the Manassas, VA show. First, ROH is giving away ten pairs of tickets for free, courtesy of pwinsider.com (click here for details). ROH has confirmed the following wrestlers for the weekend of June 18th and 19th, when it will be in Buffalo and Toronto, respectfully: Steve Corino, Roderick Strong, Davey Richards, Mark and Jay Briscoe, Tyson Dux, and Austin Aries.
