Punk took to his Twitter to discuss his actions in what seems to be a very sincere apology.
“I’m glad TMZ posted that video because everybody needs to be held accountable for their bullshit, me included. What I said was bullshit.”
“…I’m embarrassed. I own up to being a total douche in this situation and I offer a sincere apology to anybody I hurt with careless words.”
The WWE has a strong stance on bullying, and a few of the Superstars have experienced the repercussions of saying stuff like this, which I completely respect. These words fly off the tongue so quickly, and have become very normal for one to say. He did what he was supposed to do: piss people off. But words like this, among others, should be eliminated when used negatively. Especially when the program is geared towards kids. It takes a lot to man up and accept responsibility, and I think he did well, considering.
