NHL: Chicago Blackhawks Pushing To Host All-Star Game And Entry-Draft

News

During a press confrence Monday, NHL Commisioner Gary Bettman said the Blackhawks have been pushing strongly to host another All-Star game and an Entry Draft.

The team last hosted an All-Star game in 1991 and they have never hosted an Entry Draft. “The Blackhawks are interested in as many league events as they can get,” Bettman said. “Obviously this is a great city. We had a wonderful Winter Classic here and we’re mindful of that. From our standpoint, it’s more of a question of having a limited number of assets to allocate over 30 clubs, and we’re trying to be fair and judicious in doing that.”
