Rosario Dawson (Sin City) is set to produce and star in Descent, a new psychological thriller set up by her company, Trybe Films.
Dawson will play Maya, a college coed who turns into a vengeful seductress after a shocking act of violence. The film is written by Talia Lugacy and Brian Priest, and Lugacy will also direct.

Christina Milian has joined the cast of The Weinstein Company’s upcoming horror film Pulse.
Milian will join star Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars), along with Ian Somerhalder (Lost), Samm Levine and Rick Gonzalez in the film. The movie is a remake of Kiyoshi Kurosawa’s Kairo.
The film tells of a group of college-goers who discover a hacker friend has opened a doorway to evil using his computer. As the door is opened, everyone’s devoured by the evil, and someone has to stop it.
Milian will play Bell’s best friend, who is someone using the net as a means to hook up with guys.
Producer Joel Soisson recently told Moviehole that he’s pretty enthused about the film.
“See, I had this bizarre notion that maybe America was finally ready to see a great Japanese horror film re-made with American actors. Hey, at least it’s not a sequel, right?”, he jokes. “[No] Pulse” is going well so far. Kristen Bell is our lead female.”
The filming is taking place in Romania, under the direction of Jim Sonzero.
