Fox has pulled the plug on its touted drama Lone Star, as the show performed poorly in week 2 ratings.
The premiere episode was, for all intents and purposes, a DOA rating, attracting Only 4.1 million viewers and a paltry 1.3 adults 18-49 rating, making it the lowest-rated show on a major broadcast network.
In week 2, the ratings dipped even further, as viewership sank to 3.2 million viewers while its demo rating fell 23% to a 1.0.
Lone Star is the first major cancellation of the 2010-2011 Fall TV Season, although other freshman dramas have performed poorly as well, including ABC’s “The Whole Truth” and “My Generation,” along with NBC’s “Outlaw” and “The Apprentice.”
