Welcome to What To Look Forward To!
New This Week:
Mirror #1 – Emma Rios (Pretty Deadly, Island) teams up with Hwei Lim (Lalage, Hero) to bring us a tale of finding acceptance.
Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency: A Spoon Too Short #1 – The last ‘Dirk Gently’ series was good, and I’m hoping the continuation of the franchise means it’s here to stay for awhile. The title refers to a story Douglas Adams was working on before his death. Any fan of Hitchhiker’s Guide or other Adam’s work would do well to check this out. (Delayed)
Mercury Heat #7 – The beginning of the second arc! Gillen has been on fire between The Wicked + The Divine and Darth Vader, and the same is true here.
Spider-Man #1 – Brian Michael Bendis and Sara Pichelli for Miles Morales entering not only the regular Marvel Universe but also the Avengers!
Kennel Block Blues #1 – Canine anthropomorphic jailhouse drama? How does one deal with living in the shelter? Escape to a magical world in your imagination of course! This may be one that needs to be seen to be believed.
A few other issues to look forward to:
Batman Europa #4 (mini-series finale), Deadpool: Mercs for Money #1, Dejah Thoris #1, Obi-Wan & Anakin #2, Paper Girls #5 (first arc finale), Pretty Deadly #8, Shutter #18 (new arc begins), Swamp Thing #2, Velvet #13 (third arc begins)
Collected Editions:
Lumberjanes Vols. 1 & 2 TPB
Lumberjanes Vol. 3 TPB (new this week)
Batman: Arkham – Scarecrow TPB (new this week) – Some of the most classic ‘Scarecrow’ stories collected in one edition, from his first appearance to his “Villains Month” tie-in!
Bizarro TPB (new this week) – Described by many as one of the more underrated DCYou titles of last year, this is one I’m personally planning on getting soon.
Giant-Size Little Marvel AvX HC (new this week) – A sort of “What-If?” take on our favorite Avengers and X-Men. Fun for everyone, new fans and old.
Batman: Li’l Gotham Vols. 1 & 2 TPB
The Wicked + The Divine Vols. 1 & 2 TPB
The Wicked + The Divine Vol. 3 Commercial Suicide TPB (new this week)
