ROH News on Philly PPV Date Change, Filming Of “The Wrestler” & More

A post has just been made by an ROH official on the ROH message board that the originally intended PPV taping in Philadelphia on March 15th has been moved to Sunday, March 16th at a special time of 5pm. Tickets purchased for the Saturday show will be honoured at the new Sunday show.

Two additional live events have been added to ROH’s schedule. On Friday, March 14th and Saturday, March 15th shows will take place at The Baker Theatre, 41 West Blackwell Street, Dover, NJ. These two news shows will be in conjuction with the filming of the upcoming film featuring Mickey Rourke, The Wrestler.

Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10am and will be priced as following: $50 for 1st row, $30 for 2nd row, $30 for 3rd row. General admission tickets will be $10 for each event. There will also be a limited number of balcony/mezzanine seats available for $40 each.

More information will be posted later today or tomorrow regarded cards and talent booked for the shows.

That’s pretty insane that not only will ROH be doing a triple shot but their events may be used in some fashion for the film. I’m sure ROH were very grateful of any extra money or exposure they will recieve by doing this.

For a total pipe dream, seeing someone like Bryan Danielson on the big screen would be a total mark out moment. Even if it is just for a minute or two.
