Don Frye vs. Dave Herman set for Shark Fights
by Jeremy Botter on August 17, 2009

Shark Fights, a Texas-based promotion and friend of Inside Fights, has signed an interesting main event for the Shark Fights 6 show in Amarillo: Don Frye vs. Dave “Pee Wee” Herman.

Frye, 43, was recently scheduled to face Mo Lawal at the “M-1: Breakthrough” event, but pulled out due to concerns with the card being moved from Los Angeles and the instability of the M-1 promotion as a whole. Frye’s last fight was in May on Shark Fights 4, where he scored a submission victory over Ritch Moss in the first round.

Herman is one of the most intriguing and entertaining heavyweight prospects on the planet, with a record of 14-1.
