Heavyweight Odlanier Solis was a DQ winner over Ray Austin in a WBC title eliminator in Miami, FL. Solis was dominating the fight and put Austin down in the 5th. The fight ended in the 10th round when Austin clinched with Solis at the end of the round and nearly toppled over the ropes and out of the ring. The bell sounded and both men regained their balance, when Austin inexplicably threw and landed a punch, prompting the immediate DQ from the referee.
With the win, Solis has earned the right to get beat up by Vitali Klitschko in his next fight.
On the undercard, Tavoris Cloud retained his light heavyweight title with a unanimous decision victory over Fulgencio Zuniga.
Also, Ricardo Mayorga defeated Michael Walker by 9th round TKO.
