NFL News: Oakland Raiders Make Hue Jackson Head Coach
by Chad Jorgenson on January 18, 2011

The move has been expected for about a week.

After leading the offense to produce twice as many points as last season, Hue Jackson has been promoted to Head Coach of the Oakland Raiders.

This will be Jackson’s first head coaching job at any level. He was hired last offseason to take the play calling duty away from former head coach Tom Cable.

“The fire in Hue will set a flame that will burn for a long time in the hearts and minds of the Raider football team and the Raider Nation,” owner Al Davis said.
