Empire Magazine, amongst others, is reporting that Ellen Page has joined Alec Baldwin, Penelope Cruz and Jesse Eisenberg in Woody Allen’s untitled new film.
Page is currently starring in IFC’s Super, still in limited release, was given a fairly solid review by our own Robert Saucedo.
What does it mean? All that’s known so far is that it’s set in Rome but it seems like Woody is once again assembling a stellar lineup. With Eisenberg most likely in the “Woody Allen” role, it’ll be interesting to see what he does with Page. She has a flair for comic timing and Allen has needed an actress capable of comedy in one of his films for a while. This has all the makings of an interesting comedy, considering the cast.
