Rory MacDonald Injury Prompts Major UFC 158 Changes – Carlos Condit Gets New Opponent! Jake Ellenberger Too?
by Scott "Kubryk" Sawitz on February 18, 2013

UFC 158 became the first card of 2013 to be hit by the injury bug! Ariel Helwani and MMA Fighting are reporting that Rory MacDonald has been forced to withdraw from the card due to injury. Thus the following changes have been made.

Carlos Condit vs. Johny Hendricks is now scheduled and Jake Ellenberger is now without an opponent.

Kubryk’s Analysis: This is a big blow to that card but one that it could survive. Condit vs. Hendricks is a stellar match up, though, and MacDonald vs. Condit will happen in the near future. And it leaves the UFC with a dilemma. Who does Ellenberger face next?

Tyron Woodley said after his brutal knockout of Jay Hieron that he’s ready to go in case someone got hurt. If there ever was a case of someone being in the right place at the right time, he could be it.
