The View From Down Here – Wrestlemania

Columns, PPVs, Reviews, Top Story

Here I was, all ready to give a recount of Wrestlemania.

I won’t.

I was bored by it.

From the lame pre-game show Miz win to the lame match where Jericho went down to a newbie again.

HHH-Lesnar was boring.

Cena-Rock was okay, but last year was better.

Del Rio-Swagger disappointed.

Punk-Undertaker will be called a classic by people but, like last year, it was a lot of lying around between moves.

Having said that.

Shield v the Three Burritos was damn entertaining. I don’t get the Big Show ending, but the rest was a good match.

Team Hell No v Ziggler-Big E was my match of the night. I was entertained and they looked like they were having fun out there. I said it before, I’ll say it again, Kane looks more motivated in this tag team than I have seen him in a decade.

Bad Wrestlemania? No, not really. Mediocre or dull or underwhelming would be a better call. On a par with WM XI, really. Look, I enjoyed it for what it was, but it didn’t feel like a Wrestlemania.

In

My

Opinion.

(And for those who say I hate wrestling – the TNA X-Division PPV was a lot of fun and RCW100 was awesome.)
