Community Spoilers: When Will Show Debut On Yahoo, Halloween & Christmas Themed Episodes Seem Doubtful

News, Spoilers

Somehow, Community survived all odds and a sixth season will be broadcast on Yahoo (after NBC cancelled it earlier this year).

At a cast panel at Comic-Con, creator Dan Harmon talked about when the show would begin to broadcast new episodes and revealed other plot points for the new season on Thursday.

He promised that despite the new medium to deliver his messsage, not much would change in terms of the actual show.

“My philosophy is: Attempt to make the same show, and let the lack of boundaries make themselves felt,” he said.” I don’t want to take the wheels off so much that people think, ‘This is a new show.'”

He said that the writers would go back to the writers room in the Fall which means that new episodes wouldn’t air until Christmas at the earliest.

Speaking of Christmas, Harmon said that Halloween and Christmas episodes “might be tough” since the show’s streaming schedule has yet to be determined and Yahoo wants to avoid having a Halloween episode go up in February, Harmon revealed.

So when will the not-new new episodes hit the web? The writers don’t go back to work until the fall, so don’t expect new installments before Christmas — at the earliest.
