Booth will be a shell of his former self when Bones resumes.
The show’s executive producer says that there is a break in the case that landed Booth in the slammer and kept him away from Brennan for the past four months but that the emotional ramifications of what happened to him will continue to haunt him.
“He has been in war zones before, but he’s never been betrayed by the people and institutions that he trusts and has risked his life for,” says Nathan. “That’s a big thing to deal with. There will be fallout from everything that’s happened that will trail out over time.”
Also look for Brennan giving Booth a new place to stay since they house was destroyed by last season’s gunfight.
