Spoilers and review follow for Nightwing #4.
I have been intrigued by this first arc and this Raptor character seemingly working for the Court of Owls and who ingratiated himself into Nightwing, the “Gray Son’s” life.
They’ve succeeded in their mission. They have the money and intel, but…
…Raptor plays hard-to-get with his protege Nightwing! He senses Nightwing’s heart isn’t into and by setting him free may in facy be more appealing for Nightwing?
Batman is concerned about Nightwing’s methods since he let Raptor get away with the money and intel on the Court of Owls. Nightwing says he has it under control, but is even he aware that Raptor isn’t an agent for the Court of Owls really, but in fact working for…
…the terrorist organization Kobra?!
So…
I’m really enjoying this first arc and the next major arc called Rise of Raptor. I’ll be here!
I have to say, I am not pleased about this Monster Men cross-over amongst the Batman books coming up. It seems to be plopped in and will disrupt the “I am Suicide” arc for Batman and “Rise of Raptor” for Nightwing; I’d rather read those arc next. That said, DC must have faith in this Monster Men x-over, so we’ll see. Rebirth has been such a success maybe this Monster Men arc will be too.
