Welcome to What To Look Forward To!

Here is a quick look at some highlights on the shelves this week. For single issues, the year is starting off a bit light for most, but there are a few new TPBs and HCs to check out, so without further ado let’s dive in…

New This Week:

Superman #14 – ‘Multiplicity’ begins here! Supermen of different universes are disappearing, and Super-alliances must form to find them. Tomasi/Gleason have been a great Super-team so far, and this seems to have the makings of a soon-to-be classic to me. Plus, I’m always up for more Red Son Supes!

Deadpool the Duck #1 – Deadpool + Howard T. Duck = Deadpool the Duck! I honestly have no idea what to expect from this new series except for a few laughs, to be sure.

The Fall And Rise of Captain Atom #1 – No one has seen Captain Atom in recent years, and not even DC’s biggest heroes know why. This seems like new approach to reintegrating characters into back into DC, post-Rebirth, (straight to mini-series rather than “Rebirth” one-shot) and I can’t wait to find out where he has been and where he’ll fit into this new world.

U.S. Avengers #1 – Another Avengers team is assembled to fight for America! Is that right…over 50 variant covers?!

Other issues to look forward to:

  • Batman #14 – The first in a two-part arc featuring Catwoman!
  • Justice League of America: The Atom #1 – A fan favorite returns for Rebirth!
  • The Walking Dead #162 – The Whispering War conclusion!
  • The Wicked + The Divine #25 – The epic continues!

Collected Editions and OGNs:

Han Solo TPB – Everyone’s favorite scruffy-looking smuggler takes part in one of the galaxies most dangerous races. But when word gets to the Empire that Han may be in it for more than prize, things get a bit tricky.
