WWE New Year’s Revolution from San Juan is reporting an early buyrate of 270,000. Early buyrates are generally on the low side, and the actual buyrate could approach 300,000 when all is said and done.

It’s the highest single-brand buyrate since April 2004 Backlash, which featured Benoit/HHH/HBK in a WM21 rematch, and the Orton/Foley match. Backlash had about 290,000 buys.

NYR featured the third ever Elimination Chamber match. The first was at Survivor Series 2002, with HBK, HHH, Jericho, Kane, Booker T and RVD, seeing HBK go over for the title. The most recent was at Summerslam 2003, with HHH, Goldberg, Jericho, Orton Nash and HBK.

Survivor Series 02 did about 460,000 and Summerslam 03 did 465,000 buys.
