Smackdown Spoilers from Montreal

News, Spoilers

Following are Smackdown spoilers from last night’s supershow tapings in Montreal, according to J-F Lalande and PWInsider.com:

RAW Dark Match:

Val Venis beat Rob Conway with The Money Shot.

Smackdown taping:

King Booker and Sharmell are in Teddy Long’s office and Booker doesn’t want to face Vito. Teddy tells him that Vito has voluntarily stepped aside and that his new opponent tonight in the main event is The Undertaker. Booker is not happy with that.

1) Batista and Lashley vs. Finlay and Sir William Regal

Batista/Lashley win when Lashley pins Regal after a spear while Batista and Finlay were fighting outside the ring. We didn’t see the “little bastard” in that match.

2006 Diva search winner Layla El comes to the ring and does a stupid dance and then welcomes us to the season premiere of Smackdown on the CW network. Krystal interrupts her and starts a catfight. Pointless segment.

2) Gregory Helms vs. Matt Hardy (Non-Title match)

Matt Hardy beat Helms after a kick to the groin while the referee was distracted.

We then had a bad Jimmy Yang promo in front a Montreal Canadiens poster.

3) The Miz vs. Funaki

The Miz cut a promo putting himself over before the match and did the hoo-rah thing. The Miz beat Funaki with his swinging neckbreaker finisher in a short match. Not good.

Backstage, Rey Mysterio said that Chavo and Vicky raped his soul but life goes on and tonight is the first day of the rest of his life.

4) Chavo (with Vicky Guerrero) vs. Rey Mysterio

It wasn’t clear if it was a streetfight or a no DQ match but they fought outside the ring and in the crowd for a while and after a few minutes two extra referees came to the ring and the match was stopped for no obvious reason.

5) Triple Threat match for the WWE Tag Team Championship: London/Kendrick vs. The Pitbulls vs. James/Stevens

London and Kendrick scored the win with a rollup.

We then had a quick Elijah Burke/S. Turkay backstage promo and then a video of Batista in Manila.

6) Sylvan vs. Tatanka
Sylvan was super over in Montreal. He cut a quick promo in French before his match. Sylvan beat Tatanka with a leverage pin while holding the ropes. Tatanka argued with the referee after the match and Sylvan celebrated with the fans.

The following matches were announced for No Mercy:

Finlay vs. Batista
Lashley vs. King Booker
Rey Mysterio vs. Chavo Guerrero in a Steel Cage match
Undertaker vs. Mr. Kennedy

7) Main event: King Booker vs. The Undertaker

Before the match, Mr. Kennedy came down for commentary. The Undertaker beat King Booker via DQ after a belt shot to the head. King Booker then tried to leave the ring but Lashley threw him back in the ring and UT hit a choke slam and a tombstone piledriver on Booker. Mr. Kennedy didn’t interfere in the match.
