It is being reported that TNA’s Dixie Carter has a huge announcement for No Surrender.
Word now is that Vince Russo will be back on the booking committee, along with Jeff Jarrett and Dutch Mantel. This will leave Scott D’Amore and Mike Tenay on the outs, with no word yet on what will happen to Jeremy Borash.
This seems to be a kneejerk reaction to the decline in the Impact ratings, however it should be noted that the decline is in all across the board, including WWE and UFC.
Russo has been given some guidelines, and knows not to make the show sleazy. However, it should be noted that Russo’s sleaze is what got WWE’s ‘Attitude Era’ over to begin with.
The announcment is expected to be made to the TNA wrestlers and crew on Saturday, and it is still unclear if this will lead to some personnal changes. Russo was in the office yesterday, working in creative for the first time since being re-hired. No one has said they will quit yet, but this does drive a fork in bringing in Goldberg.
