Jason Reitman (Thank You for Smoking) is the likely candidate to direct Juno, a comedy that Production Weekly reports is in the vein of Napoleon Dynamite.

Written by Diablo Cody, the film is a dark humored look at the difficult choices facing pregnant teenager Juno McGuff. She gets pregnant during one sexual encounter with her best friend Paulie Bleeker.

And this is where it gets a little strange. Juno decides to let Vanessa Loring, a woman who desperately wants to get pregnant (or have a child, really), and her husband Mark be the parents via adoption.

Still expecting, Juno develops a crush for Mark, while spurning the noble affections from Paul.

Production is tentatively slated for early January.
