Steve Carell has made a huge name for himself in The 40 Year Old Virgin and in television hit, The Office. Stephen Colbert has shot to fame with The Colbert Report. Ed Helms will soon be a part of movies Night At The Museum and Evan Almighty.

Success after success have come from the correspondats on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show, and it seems they are trying for another this time in the form of Rob Corddry.

Corddry will be cast as Ben Stiller’s best friend in the next Farrelly Brothers’ so far untitled movie based on Neil Simon’s 1972 film, The Heartbreak Kid. It tells the story of a man newly wed to the perfect woman until he finds “another” perfect woman on his honeymoon.

Corddry will first have a part in the Olympic men’s figure skating comedy, Blades Of Glory starring Will Ferrell (Elf; Anchorman) and Jon Heder (Napoleon Dynamite; The Benchwarmers). Blades focuses on two rival skaters banned from Olypmic singles’ competition, but soon find a loophole allowing to join together as a pairs team.

The Farrelly Brothers’ film is tentatively scheduled for release for October 5, 2007. Blades Of Glory is scheduled for March 30, 2007.
