Tuesday night’s ECW — which WrestlingObserver.com’s Dave Meltzer says DID in fact air live, in a last minute change of Vince McMahon’s mind — got a 1.5 cable rating with a 2.5 share, according to Nielsen Media Research by way of Pro Wrestling Insider.

In other news:

– ECW.com has posted an “exclusive” video of Matt Striker lecturing the crowd about the Royal Rumble.

– Striker’s latest Word of the Week (dictum) is also up.

– Layla El’s profile was moved from Smackdown to the ECW.com Extremists page, but the other new member of Extreme Expose — Brooke — has not yet been added. Also on the ECW.com roster page, Monty Brown’s character name has been changed from “Marquis Cor Von” to “Marcus Cor Von” and he is now being billed from Detroit, MI, as opposed to The Animal Kingdom.

– CM Punk gives congratulations to his original trainer and fellow Chicago native Ace Steel on getting hired by WWE in his latest blog entry.

– Former head of ECW Paul Heyman and others from within ECW, WWE and outside the company, talked with WWE.com about Bam Bam Bigelow here. Former ECW wrestler, and current TNA star Runt (Spike Dudley), commented on Bigelow at TNAWrestling.com.
