CM Punk’s in a Slump, WWE’s New CFO, La Resistance Already off ECW?

News, Press Releases

“I don’t think I’ve been curtailed. I see it as a slump,” said ECW Superstar CM Punk in this interview with SLAM! Wrestling in Canada. “So many wrestlers have made their careers from Wrestlemania. We are coming to Detroit, where Wrestlemania III was held, and look at all the careers that were made … I want this Wrestlemania to define my career like it did theirs.”

Meanwhile, ECW.com has posted more video of the Bobby Lashley documentary, Joey Styles names the Champ the Most Extreme Player, and for some reason Rene Dupree and Sylvan Grenier have been removed from the ECW Superstars page, but Test is still on it. Also, while Punk, Tazz, Tommy Dreamer and Matt Striker’s blogs/commentaries remain un-updated, Ariel reads Vince’s cards, Elijah Burke talks about Black History Month and Striker’s Word of the Week is sardonic.

Over on WWE.com, The Highlanders, Eugene, Haas & more are in action on today’s episode of Heat, a new Diva Dish is up, and Aaron Stevens and KC James have been removed from the Smackdown Superstars page, as they have been off TV since Michelle McCool started having health issues.

In other WWE news, World Wrestling Entertainment Inc. has named a new Chief Financial Officer, which you can read about in the AP, Reuters, Marketwatch.com, or in the official company press release here.

Matthew Michaels is editor emeritus of Pulse Wrestling, and has been since the site launched.
