Make Movement: Bumping Around For Khali And Injuries Galore

Columns

Judgment Day, headlined by The Great Khali versus John Cena for the WWE Championship, is so compelling, that it is the one PPV I will not buy this year. WWE, as I said last week, this is a bad idea. As proven this week with Shawn Michaels virtually taking himself out so he couldn’t continue (and evidence Khali can’t work), John Cena has to spend his match bouncing off the behemoth, and I can’t believe I’m saying this, hopefully returning his championship. The reason why fans were upset about the ending of the Michaels match is not only because the better man did indeed bump around for the worst wrestler on the pay roll, but because Michaels has practically killed himself in the ring over the years doing far worse than a table bump and continued.

If Khali in the main event scene wasn’t enough to make you want to fall asleep, Khali interferes in the Randy Orton (‘my career, wants and life back on track’) versus Cena match, that wasn’t even for the title. Am I the only one who remembers the day when Khali was merely beating up Jeff Hardy and couldn’t get the job done because he would destroy Hardy for his Intercontinental belt on the outside and not go inside for the win? Is this called progress? Khali can’t work a ring or the mic. At least give the guy a manager like Estrada. I guess this implies that Orton can’t get his life back on track because of interference. Too much Khali for one night to make it a enjoyable show.

Kennedy loses to Edge his Money in the Bank because a severe triceps injury he sustained at a house show. It’s incredibly disappointing and at a great time in Kennedy’s career, but hopefully he can stay around for promos alone.

What else..

Candice is improving in the ring, slowly but surely. Mickie’s still over (and I love the new outfits) and had to basically wrestle like two people as Candice is getting her hands-on training in the ring after Mickie does most of the work before hand. I find it sad Victoria has to play the supporting cast to Melina.

The tag team picture is the Hardys and Cade/Murdoch sportsmanship angle. It’s at least intriguing but hopefully not too late. I wonder when Benjamin plans to leave, when you think about how he used to be in Carlito’s role in the very least. Now he spends his days being disgruntled at house shows and losing all the time with Haas as part of his job description.

Carlito chewed out and dumped Torrie as dead weight (that took a while) since Flair was still in Vegas. Screaming someone out in Spanish got absolutely no heat. I guess Torrie will be supporting Flair, which is the right thing to do.

Chris Masters actually being bigger than someone, like Santino Marella, was a flashback to WWE Superstars programming. Masters whose career is extremely lost right now, is jobbing to the new Marella, who I suppose is out to appeal to the WWE International base. I think he may be the size of Matt Striker.

Umaga is left squashing random people again like the failed project, The Highlanders. Time to move one of the giants to Smackdown or ECW.

Always remember, for things to change, you have to make movement. Thanks for reading and for all the feedback, feel free to contact me anytime at Bam@4sternstaging.com.
