Comic book films are coming out left and right including Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Spider-Man, and The Justice League. Let’s not forget Ghost Rider, The Flash, Wolverine, and countless others. So why not one more?

Warner Bros. Pictures is going to be teaming with DC Comics to release a live-action version of the teenaged super group Teen Titans. Akiva Goldsman and Kerry Foster are going to be producing the film under their company Weed Banner. Mark Verheiden has been hired to write the script.

Originating in 1964, the Teen Titans consisted of Robin, Kid Flash, Aqualad, Wonder Girl, and Speedy; and were a sort of junior varsity version of the Justice League. Over the years, members have come and left the group and also evolved. The well-known cartoon series had a team consisting of Robin, Cyborg, Beast Boy, Starfire, and Raven. Robin would of course go on to become Nightwing.

There is no concrete information on which characters will be involved in the film although Nightwing has been said to be in the running as a definite. Goldman has said the tone of the film will be consisten with recent pictures Batman Begins, Superman Returns, and the soon to be released Watchmen.
