We’ve reported a few times on the live-action Justice League film that Warner Bros. has in the works, but who might be cast in it?
Word already out is that the team will consist of Superman, Batman, Aquaman, Flash, and Green Lantern. Nothing is of course confirmed and things can always change, but the main question out is whether such stars as Brandon Routh and Christian Bale would reprise their roles as Superman and Batman respectively.
No word on Routh’s stance yet, but Bale has now gone on record to say he will not be playing Batman in the JLA film. He is more likely to stick with Christopher Nolan and their series that started with Batman Begins and next The Dark Knight due out in December of next year.
The other characters are also a wonder but a rumor floating around now is that Ryan Reynolds (Blade Trinity, Waiting ) could be up for the role of the Flash. Often reported as the frontrunner to don the red spandex in the upcoming film The Flash, Reynolds says that he may be more inclined to join the bigger picture.
“I don’t really know how much I’m allowed to talk about that stuff. But I’m sure they’ll figure out something. It’s no secret that they have a JLA script and it’s a project that’s in development the contents of which, who knows. We’ll see“
