In an interview with the Long Island Press, which you can read here in full, Ric Flair says that he is still with WWE and has not quit as previously reported.
Speaking at the Dover International Speedway, the Nature Boy praised Vince McMahon, said he had never given WWE his notice and was currently working on a part-time basis with them. He said that he did plan on retiring within a year and refuted the notion of WWE giving him control over his storylines.
“They don’t do that and I wouldn’t expect them to. I’ve earned the right to retire on my own terms, but I don’t see myself as bigger than the WWE. If it works into a storyline that works with the program, then I’m happy with it. If not, we just walk away one day and say goodbye.”
He also said that he would like his last match to be a major one, against someone the calibre of Cena, Undertaker, Michaels or Triple H.
