TNA Impact on Thursday 12/13 did a 1.2 cable rating, one of its best ever.

The 12/14 edition of Smackdown scored a 2.7 broadcast rating, according to Nielsen Media Research.

TNA’s Impact replay on 12/15 scored a 0.5 cable rating.

The 12/15 edition of AM RAW did a 0.8 cable rating.

RAW on 12/17 did a 3.5 rating, which was down from last week’s 4.1 (3 hour show). The hour ratings were rounded up to 3.5 and 3.5 and had very little difference between the two.

ECW for 12/18 came in at a 1.3, which is around average for the timeslot.

BIG News

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution has a story about WWE threatening to pull out of Georgia completely if they are subjected to state regulation.

On the same subject, Georgia’s Athletic & Entertainment Commission has delayed their decision for 60 days.

Also making the headlines, former wrestlers speak out against wrestling and Congress has called for documents on testing from several wrestling companies.

WWE has no connection to a New York toy recall, which has targeted action figures made under the “Wrestle Mania” name.

JBL has signed a deal that would allow the creation of several beverages, including an energy drink that will be released next month.

Silas Young was signed to a WWE Developmental contract. He was training in OVW last week.

Andrew “Test” Martin will be retiring from pro wrestling after finishing up his remaining commitments, according to his myspace page.

It appears that the Christopher Daniels release from TNA is indeed kayfabe. He will be working exclusively for independent groups during his “release from TNA”.

Rhino is back in training for his comeback. He missed last month’s TNA Pay-Per-View due to neck problems and some family issues.

The guy hasn’t debuted officially yet, but Kofi Kingston is the fourth popular search term on Yahoo. Any guesses as to who is #1?

TNA is running house shows in Canada from 12/27-12/30. Here is a list of venues and dates.

    12/27 – Centre Pierre Charnonneau in Montreal
    12/28 – Colisee Pepsi in Quebec City
    12/29 – Robert-Guertrin Arena in Gatineau, Quebec
    12/30 – General Motors Center in Oshowa, Canada

The New Year’s Eve edition of RAW will be taped on December 29th at Greensboro, North Carolina. The main attraction is a match between Triple H and Ric Flair.

Finally, WWE superstars are currently on Christmas break. The break will last until December 26th. It has been said to be very rare for WWE stars to have a whole week off and they really appreciate the time off.
