While Dr. James Andrews was initially scheduled to perform the surgery on Friday, with Mysterio to be out of action for up to six months, the former World Heavyweight Champion has instead opted to undergo a new technique that might allow him to return in six weeks, according to a report by Prowrestling.net‘s Jason Powell. The surgery will be performed by a doctor that has worked with the San Diego Chargers.
