Updates on WWE/TNA War; WrestleMania Missing Links

News

Prowrestling.net is reporting that a number of WWE and TNA wrestlers were hanging out together at a bar in Orlando last night, despite reports of WWE’s official edict that being seen with TNA guys was not welcome. Jason Powell wrote on the site that “word going around now is that WWE officials weren’t that specific regarding fraternization.” Jeff Jarrett and WWE Senior Vice President John Laurinaitis had a lengthy talk with one another. Others present at the bar included Kevin Nash, Karen Angle, Samoa Joe, Edge, Christian, Gail Kim, Scott Steiner, Robert Roode, Jeremy Borash, ODB, Traci Brooks, MVP, Shelton Benjamin, Ken Kennedy, Rhino and former WCW wrestler Glacier. The Undertaker, Booker T and Sharmell were also spotted hanging out together at another location in the city.

The paranoia from on high in WWE is no doubt in part attributable to rumours that TNA might hire a plane to fly over the Citrus Bowl in WrestleMania, with a banner reading ‘Watch TNA Impact’. TNA have already been driving advertising vehicles around various locations WWE is making appearances at this week.

Meanwhile, Smackdown and ECW wrestlers have been told to appear at Raw this Monday night. This may have something to do with the draft lottery, which was rumoured to be on the three-hour Raw on 21 April, the week prior to the NFL draft. The non-Raw wrestlers were not very happy with the request as it involves last-minute changes of travel plans.
