Make Me a Supermodel Returns With Tyson Beckford and New Judges!

Tyson Beckford has traded in a Niki for a Nicole.

Bravo’s Make Me a Supermodel has chosen Australian supermodel Nicole Trunfio to join Beckford as a mentor to the model wannabes for the show’s upcoming season. New faces on the judges panel also include designer Catherine Malandrino, model Jenny Shimizu, photographer Perou and model scout Marlon.

On the first season of Supermodel, Niki Taylor acted as a co-host and the mentor to the female competitors alongside Beckford, who mentored the male competitors. Holly Kiser from Virginia beat out 13 other contestants to win a spread in GQ magazine, $100,000 and a modeling contract with New York Model Management.

Trunfio, 23, is an Australian supermodel who as been featured in numerous international fashion magazines and for ad campaigns ranging from Pantene to D&G and Lacoste. She’s also walked the runways for numerous designers including Fendi, Chanel, Oscar de la Renta, Versace, Missoni, Roberto Cavalli, Michael Kors and Gucci.

Trunfio will offer a unique perspective to the contestants because she was the winner of the Australian TV series Search for a Supermodel and later came in third in the international version of the show.

Malandrino began her career in France before moving to America. Her design was featured prominently in at least one episode of Sex and the City, and her celebrity clientele includes Madonna, Beyonce, Sarah Jessica Parker, Halle Berry, Julia Roberts, and Nicole Kidman.

Shimizu, 41, was famously discovered by Kelly and Calvin Klein when she drove by them on her Triumph motorcycle. She’s walked the runway for Prada, Versace, Donna Karan and Jean Paul Gaultier. She’s appeared on America’s Next Top Model and Dante’s Cove, and has also been open about being gay, protesting America’s laws against gay marriage by “marrying” reality TV Star Rebecca Loos for the TV program Power Lesbian UK.

Perou is a renowned celebrity photographer who has shot numerous international fashion magazine covers. His subject have included David Beckham, The Spice Girls, Blondie, Jay-Z and U2. He’s also directed music videos for Marilyn Manson and KT Tunstall.

As an international model scout, Marlon has managed the careers of numerous models, including Marisa Miller and Anouck Lepere. He’s also worked as a photographer, shooting the likes of The Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Rolling Stones and Eric Clapton.

A premiere date for the new season has yet to be announced.
