The Japan Times Online is reporting that the Great Sasuke has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a fan who took his picture with a camera phone on a train. The fan recognized him because he was wearing his trademark mask, which one ups Jericho in the bizareness category, if nothing else.
American fans might remember Sasuke from his short run in the WWF in 1997 as part of their Light Heavyweight Division, his appearance at the first ECW PPV, and for his match with Chris Benoit which was on Benoit’s DVD. In Japan, he founded Michinoku Pro Wrestling (which gave us Taka Michinoku and Funaki).
