WWE WrestleMania 27 Location

News

At present, the leading candidate for WrestleMania XVII is the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. The stadium has a retractable roof and can hold up to 70,000. It was just opened a few months ago to replace the Hoosier Dome, which hosted WrestleMania VIII (a show that holds the inglorious record of the most tickets given away for Mania – 15,000). Some leading candidates from the Indianapolis area for Hall of Fame induction include Dick the Bruiser, the city’s all-time biggest wrestling draw, and Jim Barnett, the city’s most notable promoter who greatly helped the WWF expansion in the 1980s.
