Paul Blart: Mall Cop patrols the DVD shelves this May

Disc Announcements, News

Paul Blart: Mall Cop has grossed over $138 million dollars and it’s remained in the box office top 10 since its release two months ago. And since the window from theaters to home video is dwindling, it comes to no surprise that Sony Pictures has set a release date of May 19, 2009.

Directed by Steve Carr (Daddy Day Care, Are We Done Yet?), the sleeper hit stars Kevin James as the titular security guard, whose job becomes to save a shopping mall from criminals. Written by James and Nick Bakay, the movie also stars Keir O’Donnell (Wedding Crashers) and Jayma Mays (Ugly Betty). Paul Blart serves and protects DVD and Blu-ray* on May 19th.

I'm not embarrassed to say that my favorite television show of all-time is The O.C. I live by the motto "you can't fight fate!" More importantly, I watch WAY too much television, but I do so for the benefit of everyone reading this now. So to my mom and my wife, I say thanks for reading! To everyone else that might stumble across this, remember TiVo should be your best friend!
