For this Friday’s episode…
– Chris Jericho comes out for a promo but refuses to introduce himself to the unworthy Smackdown audience. He claims he will go on to become champion at Judgement Day. Edge interrupts and reminds Jericho that Smackdown is his show. CM Punk interrupts to introduce himself as Mr Money in the Bank, complete with a video of when he cashed it in to beat Edge last year. Jericho and Punk get into an argument until Jericho walks off in the huff. Punk then reminds Edge that Vickie Guerrero is not around to protect him on Smackdown anymore, so when he does cash-in he will become the champion.
– John Morrison beats Shelton Benjamin in a short match.
– They show footage of MVP appearing on The View, whatever that is.
– Jericho complains to Teddy Long backstage. Ranjin Singh interrupts to inform Jericho that the Great Gary says to stop whining.
– Jeff Hardy beats Rey Mysterio, Kane and Chris Jericho in an Elimination Match to become #1 contender for the World Heavyweight Title at Judgement Day. Jericho eliminated Kane first, then he was eliminated by DQ after using a chair on Mysterio. Jeff then reversed the West Coast Pop into a sunset flip to pin Mysterio for the win. Said to be a really good match.
– Jericho tries to speak with Teddy Long backstage, again. Maria tries to tell him that Teddy is not available. Jericho leaves and Edge then tries to get to speak to Teddy. He yells at Maria then says “I’m gonna go call my wife” and leaves.
– Cryme Tyme come out to a big pop. They start a dance-off between Eve and Layla. Eve wins and starts dancing with Cryme Tyme but Layla hits her from behind. The women start brawling and Cryme Tyme break it up.
– MVP beats Dolph Ziggler with the Playmaker after a distraction from Sherri off of The View, whatever that is.
– CM Punk beats Edge after hitting the GTS in a non-title match. Punk then tried to cash-in Money in the Bank but Umaga attacked him before that match could start. Jeff Hardy made the save.
