The Last Starfighter takes off on Blu-ray Disc this August

Disc Announcements, News

Maybe you’ve been good at a video game, but have you ever been too good? Alex Rogan is so good at the arcade game Starfighter that after beating it, the inventor (Robert Preston, in his last theatrical film) approaches him to use his space battle skills to help save the galaxy. Imagine the creators of Grand Theft Auto offering you a job to steal cars, punch hookers, and sell drugs at a strip joint because you beat GTA IV in one day. 1984’s The Last Starfighter, which was nominated for a Hugo Award and was one of the first movies to make use of CGI, comes to a 25th Anniversary Blu-ray on August 4th.

I'm not embarrassed to say that my favorite television show of all-time is The O.C. I live by the motto "you can't fight fate!" More importantly, I watch WAY too much television, but I do so for the benefit of everyone reading this now. So to my mom and my wife, I say thanks for reading! To everyone else that might stumble across this, remember TiVo should be your best friend!
