The Office – Episode 5-26 Review

Top Story

“When I’m breaking all the rules, I am break dancing.”

The “office” that once housed the Michael Scott Paper Company is now home to Michael’s passion for dancing and espresso. While Michael tries to entice one of the employees to join him for lunch at his Cafe Disco, Dwight investigates the origin of a map of Youngstown, Ohio that was left in the printer as Jim and Pam try to conceal their plans to drive there to be married.

“Funk is the problem and the solution.”

Michael struggles as Angela and a work ethic he attributes to Charles’ time in the office make difficult his attempts to relax his employees. Phyllis eventually decides to join Michael, but strains her back while dancing. Dwight insists that he can heal her and the rest of the office expresses frustration with the Cafe Disco.

Michael asks Erin to “shut down” the disco, but she and Kelly go downstairs and begin dancing, drawing the attention of the Vance Refrigeration deliverymen. Gradually the rest of the office filter in and start a dance party. Using a technique tried and tested on a racehorse, Dwight manages to quickly heal Phyllis’ injury.

As Jim and Pam leave the building to drive to Ohio, they pass the Cafe Disco and decide to step in for a few minutes. While dancing, they decide that they want a “real” wedding not in a courthouse.
