I think I started a trend when I resigned from the WAMMA rankings team: Pat Miletich and Sam Caplan have tendered their resignations from the near-defunct sanctioning body.
In all seriousness, it’s been apparent from the start that there are serious issues with WAMMA, issues that will likely never be fixed. I outlined several of them last month and was met with an uproar from the WAMMA front office. They’re a company that seemingly believes that the threat of a lawsuit will stop people from pointing out how flawed their business model is. Yes, we’d all love to see the best fighters in the world face each other, but at some point you’re going to have to realize that there’s Zuffa and then there’s everyone else. Working within that framework will yield much more positive results, I think.
