Kelly Pavlik’s middleweight title defense against Paul Williams will go down later this year. The announcement will be made at a press conference on Tuesday. The two are set to meet on December 5 at The Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. The fight will air on HBO.
Kelly Pavlik had to withdraw from an earlier agreement with Paul Williams due to a staph infection. A rescheduling of the fight seemed to be in jeopardy as Paul Williams didn’t want to wait long to get back into the ring. Both sides have worked out a deal and it’s good to see that this fight is back on the docket for 2009.
