The middleweight title fight scheduled for December 5 between champion Kelly Pavlik and Paul Williams has been called off. Pavlik canceled the fight when the hand injury that originally postponed their October 3 bout was not progressing as doctors had originally hoped. While Kelly Pavlik recovers from his injury, Paul Williams will be searching for a new opponent for the December 5 date. Williams has not fought since an April win over Winky Wright.
Kelly Pavlik last fought in February, a win over Marco Antonio Rubio. Once Pavlik is medically cleared to fight he plans on looking for his next fight.
