More WWE PPV Changes

News

F4Wonline.com is reporting that Backlash and Judgment Day are no longer WWE pay-per-view names. Extreme Rules is moving from June to May 23, and it looks like Backlash’s name will be changed (although that name is still listed on WWE.com).

Will we be seeing the return of King of the Ring? Or perhaps a War Games-like event? Based on an earlier poll on our site, those are two gimmicks our readers would like to see used at the center of WWE PPVs.

Here is the most up-to-date WWE PPV schedule:

11/22/09 – Survivor Series
12/13/09 – TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs
1/31/10 – Royal Rumble
2/21/10 – Elimination Chamber
3/28/10 – WrestleMania XXVI
4/25/10 – Backlash
5/23/10 – Extreme Rules
6/10 TBD – The Bash
7/10 TBD – Night of Champions
8/10 TBD – SummerSlam
9/10 TBD – Breaking Point
10/10 TBD – Hell in a Cell/Bragging Rights

I’d personally like to see WWE trim down to a 12 PPV per year schedule, getting rid of Judgment Day, Backlash and The Bash, moving the Hell in a Cell PPV to the summer and doing a King of the Ring-like tournament right after Mania (in order to kick-start the push of a new star for the year). Post your thoughts in the comments.
