At the moment, Hulk Hogan’s tentative on-screen debut for TNA is scheduled for the Impact tapings on Monday 4th January 2010. There has been some talk of doing a one-off live special that night to test the waters, although chances are that it will be taped for broadcast on Thursday as per usual. If they do go live on the 4th they may very well go up against WWE Raw with Dwayne Johnson as the Guest Host. Johnson is slated to appear on the show in January, although most expect WWE to try and book him for the 11th as UFC goes live in a head-to-head battle that night. TNA is trying to finalize deals with various other people, including Ric Flair and Rob Van Dam, to all debut on the same show as Hogan as part of their ‘new beginning’ theme. Meanwhile, before then, TNA’s Final Resolution PPV on the 20th December will be going head-to-head with a WWE Smackdown taping the same day in Orlando. The PPV, which includes the return of the Feast or Fired Briefcase match, will be up against the WWE show held at the Amway Arena, just 9 miles away from the Impact Zone, which is being done on a Sunday so talent can get home in time for Christmas.
