One Tree Hill – Episode 7-10 Review

Shows, Top Story

First things first: Brooke is NOT pregnant. But more on that later…This week’s episode of One Tree Hill was another good one. The music was on point and ALL the plotlines were intriguing for once. YES, even those involving Mouth. Dare I say, I may actually want to see a 8th season? Sure, it’s unlikely, but the show is definitely picking up momentum (sans Leyton, which is surprising in and of itself). Anyway, onto the drama…

Nathan is pissed to find out that the Bobcats signed a different point guard and he is currently unemployed. He and Haley blame Clay for not doing his job, while Quinn tries sticking up for him. The whole episode is pretty much Haley/Nathan vs. Clay/Quinn kinda thing. Quinn even moves out! I don’t know…I see both sides. Nathan has a right to be pissed, but at the same time Quinn had a point when telling Haley that it wasn’t because Clay wasn’t doing his job. It was because he thought Nathan deserved more than a two-year deal. Nevertheless, Nathan fires Clay and he subsequently gets fired from his agency. He and Nathan’s friendship is up in the air, but Clay does apologize and tell him that he has been a great friend. My prediction: Clay starts his own agency in Tree Hill.

Things get good as Millie goes further and further off the deep end. Alex confronts Millie about taking her cocaine and Millie is convinced she can stop at anytime. Mouth catches her in a lie about the drugs and after claiming her innocence, her nose begins to bleed. Mouth storms away. Seriously, this is the first time I am interested in a Mouth storyline! Meanwhile, Alex is constantly texting Julian sweet nothings to which he doesn’t respond. He is still mad that Alex “lied” about the cocaine relapse to get him to see her. I actually warmed up to Alex this episode. Of course, she and Millie ended up at the bar doing tequila shots.

Brooke is still on edge after going to the doctors and finding out she isn’t pregnant. Sadly, she reveals to Julian that she was told she can’t have children at all, ever. Lovely Julian then responds that they will go see other doctors before they start worrying too much. Brooke is obviously still upset though and Julian comforts her. Brooke is also having a hard time dealing with Millie who thinks she such a great model that she deserves a $500,000 salary. Like everyone else who watched, I wanted to slap her. At the same time, Millie FINALLY got interesting. I always thought she was so boring (kind of like her counterpart Mouth!), but I’m excited to see how this downward spiral pans out.

Dan does some creepy (but Dan-like) stuff this episode. He sits in Tree Hill high school pondering whether or not he should do his show live from the hallway he killed Keith. All Rachel’s idea. Then he goes and thanks Mouth for sticking up for Nathan. Then he tries to drown Clay for messing up Nathan’s career and proceeds to tell him he should wear a suit (which Clay later does). Not surprising.

We have to wait 2 weeks for new episode! But, it should be a good one! Clay runs off. Haley is going on tour. Millie goes crazy with Coke and leaves Mouth. And Brooke seems to push Julian away, sad because she can’t have his children.
