PW Torch’s James Caldwell reports that UFC 111 will take place the night before Wrestlemania, which will force many to choose between the two shows. The UFC card will feature a title defense by George St. Pierre.
Caldwell also takes a brief look in to why WWE has downplayed the effect of UFC’s popularity on their buy rates:
WWE has cited data from cable companies that indicates there is a 4.0 percent cross-over of customers who order both UFC and wrestling PPVs. As a result, they most-likely won’t show concern publicly about UFC’s fight card.
