Paramount Home Entertainment will release Peter Jackson’s existential fantasy thriller The Lovely Bones on DVD and Blu-ray Disc on April 20, 2010. The DVD will have a SRP of $19.99 and The Blu-ray will retail for $29.99. The DVD will be presented in widescreen enhanced for 16:9 TVs with Dolby Digital English 5.1 Surround, French 5.1 Surround and Spanish 5.1 Surround and English, French and Spanish subtitles. The two-disc Blu-ray is presented in 1080p high definition with English 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio, French 5.1 Dolby Digital, Spanish 5.1 Dolby Digital and Brazilian Portuguese 5.1 Dolby Digital and English, English SDH, French, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese subtitles.
The DVD appears to be bare bones (no pun intended) as far as extras, but the Blu-ray release will include an extensive production diary in 15 segments, hosted by Jackson and Philippa Boyens, who was one screenwriters (along with Jackson and Fran Walsh).
